A Note From Our Founder
For as long as we can remember, our happiest moments have been shaped by travel and food. Not just fine dining or sought-after tables, but everything in-between, from the steam drifting from street stalls in Bangkok to afternoons spent nibbling wine and anchovies along the Basque coast, or wandering the vibrant morning markets of Florence, or slurping oysters by the sunlit Australian shore. These moments are the rhythm of our lives and the foundation of Roaming Spoon.
We see the world in colour, texture, fragrance, and above all, in flavour. Our journeys across Europe, Asia, the USA, and Australia have always been driven by curiosity and appetite. We never just visit places, we truly taste them. Every destination has its own pulse, and too often, that pulse is found wherever locals gather: in bustling markets, lively kitchens, or around a shared table.
That's what inspired us to create Roaming Spoon. Founded by Martyn Barrett, Roaming Spoon is the next chapter after Mr. Zito, a venture born from a pure passion for food. We wanted to weave our devotion to culinary culture with our love for thoughtful, expertly crafted travel.
